IOM STEI 2011
On July 31, 2011, the STEI Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor was filled with dozens of parents of students attending the 2011 STEI Student Parents Association (IOM) event. This event is held routinely every year after the acceptance of new students and before the new academic year begins. IOM STEI 2011 is an event where parents of new students of the 2011/2012 intake meet with Faculty Leaders and Heads of STEI Study Programs.
The IOM itself aims to introduce STEI in its entirety to the parents of new students, starting from the history of STEI's founding, the Study Programs at STEI, Facilities for students, Academic Civitas staff, to STEI activities and awards won by its students. This information needs to be conveyed to Parents and Guardians to provide an overview of the teaching and learning process and the educational environment that their children will undergo and to become a consideration for parents to be able to play an active role morally in achieving student achievements in both academic and non-academic fields.
In addition, the event, which was also attended by the Heads of Scientific Groups within the STEI environment, is expected to be the beginning of good communication, so as to be able to create strong bonds between the Faculty, Parents and Students themselves.
