First Day of ABET's Visit, January 30, 2011

The Electrical Engineering Study Program – School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics ITB and the Ocean Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering ITB have submitted an assessment request to ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), as an Accreditation Body that has experience in providing accreditation to study programs in the world. The Electrical Engineering Study Program and the Ocean Engineering Study Program, through the Rector's Decree as of January 2007, have prepared themselves to fulfill the recommendations from ABET. There are several assessment categories, but they are more focused on improving the quality of students, administration, facilities, and curriculum.

Monday to Wednesday, January 31st - February 2nd, 2011, ITB received assessor guests for ABET international accreditation. ABET representatives Patrick Usoro as Team Chair (TC) and Nick Treddenick as Program Evaluator (PEV), will visit 2 Faculties at ITB, STEI and FTSL ITB. The first day of activities at STEI ITB, Monday, January 31st, 2011, began at 13.00. The ABET team, represented by Nick Treddenick, visited the Basic Electrical Engineering Laboratory and the Laboratory at PAU ME ITB.

Separately, after the PEV's visit, the TC visited the two laboratories visited by the PEV. Together with the Dean of STEI, Prof. Dr. Suwarno, the PAUME laboratories visited were the Design Laboratory and the Systems Laboratory. That afternoon, at around 3:30 PM, in the Alumni Room, the PEV reviewed what had been reviewed and examined the documents.
