Forwarding email @itb.ac.id to another email (Gmail)
If you have a primary email outside of your ITB account, such as Gmail, you can forward your ITB email to your Gmail email.
Step 1: Login and Access Email Settings
Make sure your ITB email (@itb.ac.id) is logged in to Outlook.
- On a desktop device (computer), log in to ITB email.
- After successfully logging in, click on the Settings icon (in the top right corner of the screen, the gear-shaped icon).
- Find and select the Settings option.
Step 2: Set Up and Enable Forwarding
- In the settings area, Click the Forwarding tab > Enable Forwarding (Active).
- In the “Forward email to:” section, fill in the destination email address (Gmail).
- If you want to keep forwarded messages, check the box “keep a copy of forwarded messages”.
- At the bottom, click Save.
If you have more than 1 account that you want to receive forwarded emails from ITB email, use the rules function.
- In the settings area, Click the Rules tab > Add New Rule.
- In the first field, fill in the destination email address.
- In the second field select the condition “Apply to all messages”.
- In the third field, fill in the action “Forward To”.
- Make sure the “Stop Processing more rules” option remains active if you want the process to run automatically.
- At the bottom, click Save.
Notes:
- If the email is not forwarded, try repeating the Steps above to make sure you didn't miss any Steps.
- Make sure you check the spam or junk folder in your Gmail account if the email doesn't appear in your inbox.
- Make sure there are no filters or rules in your ITB or Gmail account that are blocking the forwarding process.
