ITB's 56th Anniversary: STEI Lecturers Receive Several Awards
The academic community of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) once again held an open session to commemorate ITB's 56th Anniversary. Held in the West Hall, Monday (02/03/15) this event was attended by various elements of the academic community starting from the ITB Chancellor, Academic Senate, Professor Forum to students and also representatives of educational staff. At this event, the scientific speech of ITB's Anniversary was given by Dr. Ir. Subagjo, a teaching staff member of the Faculty of Industrial Technology ITB, as Chair of the Indonesian Catalyst Society (MKICS) entitled "Restoration of the Spirit of Making Clothes from Stone: The Role of ITB in the Development of National Catalysts".
The Anniversary event was also attended by Prof. Hermawan K. Dipojono as Director of Institutional Affairs and Cooperation of the Ministry of Research and Technology of Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti) who read the Minister's remarks on "Higher Education Policy and Expectations for ITB". Three important keywords in this thinking are quality, innovation and national competitiveness. ITB is expected to become a benchmark for quality by continuously increasing the productivity of publications and patents and becoming a center for producing national knowledge. Specifically, the desire was expressed that ITB can increase the number of works indexed by Scopus to a minimum of 1000. Kemenristek Dikti is ready to provide financial assistance so that this can be realized. In addition, ITB is expected to continue downstreaming the results of its studies and research to encourage the strengthening of national innovation. Kemenristekdikti supports ITB's desire to become Entrepreneurial University.
In this ITB Open Session, the ITB Award was also given in the Field of Teaching, Research and Innovation Work as a form of appreciation from ITB leadership for the achievements and contributions of teaching staff in the development of ITB. The teaching staff from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics who received the award included: Prof. Dr. Ir. Tati Latifah Erawati Rajab, Prof. Dr. Ing. Ir. Iping Supriana Suwardi, Trio Adiono, ST. MT. Ph.D., Yusep Rosmansyah ST., M.Sc. Ph.D, Dr. Ir. Rinaldi Munir MT., and Ir. Adi Indrayanto, M.Sc, Ph.D.
