Ahmad Zaky Wins BukaLapak Programming Contest

Ahmad Zaky (13512076) succeeded in becoming the champion of the 2nd BukaLapak Programming Contest after successfully defeating other participants totaling more than 100 IT students from Bandung and Jabodetabek.

But don't be mistaken, the Zaky in question isn't BukaLapak founder and CEO Achmad Zaky. It's just a coincidence that the winner of the programming contest held on April 9, 2016, at the Amaroosa Hotel in Bandung had a similar name, Ahmad Zaky.

Ahmad Zaky himself is a student from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) class of 2012. Zaky became the first winner and was followed by Alvin Setiadi, a student from Bina Nusantara University (Binus) class of 2012 as the second winner.

Meanwhile, the third place was won by Luqman Arifin Siswanto (13513024), a student from ITB class of 2013, while the 4th and 5th place were won by Tjandra Satria Gunawan, a student from the University of Indonesia class of 2012, and Jauhar Arif, a student from ITB class of 2015.

"As a student, I want to contribute to Indonesia's digital world and advance the Indonesian digital industry. I've gained a lot of very useful knowledge, not just theoretical knowledge like what's taught in class. I hope what my friends and I have learned today can serve as a reference for us to contribute to the nation," explained Ahmad Zaky, the first place winner of the 2nd BukaLapak Programming Contest.

This program is expected to improve the capabilities of software engineers in Indonesia. Students are encouraged to learn programming, particularly in improving coding skills, and develop their talents so they can compete and contribute to Indonesia's digital world. Students are required to solve algorithmic puzzles using C/C++, Java, Ruby, or Python.
