SEEI ITB Presents 7 Educational Innovations and Initiates the Role of AI at SEMARAK ITB 2025
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) held SEMARAK ITB 2025 (Synergy of Modern, Adaptive, Creative, and Impactful Education) on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the East Hall and West Hall of ITB, Ganesha Campus. The event served as an exhibition of educational innovations from all faculties and schools at ITB, showcasing new approaches to learning that are more adaptive, collaborative, and impactful. . (..


The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB took part in the exhibition by presenting seven innovative products, namely:

The SEEI ITB exhibition became one of the main attractions at SEMARAK ITB 2025. The Dean of SEEI ITB was present and directly tried two of the seven innovations, namely the “Counseling Companion” platform and Oculus-based Metaverse technology. “Counseling Companion” was developed as a solution to expand access to psychological counseling services, while the Metaverse enables immersive learning experiences based on virtual reality technology. The Dean’s participation in testing these products served as both an appreciation and a form of support for SEEI ITB student innovations. . . ..

In addition to showcasing innovative works, SEEI ITB also contributed to the panel discussions that were part of the event series. Dr. Eng. Ayu Purwarianti, S.T., M.T., a SEEI ITB lecturer and expert in natural language processing and artificial intelligence, participated as a speaker in a panel discussion entitled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Education Process.” In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of utilizing AI to support more personalized learning processes, adapt to individual learning styles, and accelerate the transformation of education systems in the digital era. . . .. ..

SEMARAK ITB 2025 was visited by various groups, including high school students, university students, lecturers, and the general public, with the number of visitors reaching thousands. The event showcased ITB as a higher education institution that continues to encourage the development of technology- and innovation-based curricula, while strengthening cross-disciplinary synergy to address future educational challenges.
The presence of SEEI ITB at this exhibition—through both technological contributions and ideas shared in panel discussions—reflects the faculty’s active role in developing education that is modern, adaptive, and impactful for the wider community.
