Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) successfully held a Graduation Thanksgiving ceremony on 24 October at ITB’s West Hall. This emotional and proud event was organized to celebrate the achievements of 494 graduates who have completed a challenging academic journey, supported by their families, peers, and the SEEI academic community. The Dean of SEEI, Dr. Tutun Juhana, opened the event with a warm, inspiring, and appreciative address, reminding graduates of their great potential to bring positive change to society. ..
Of the 494 graduates, 369 were from undergraduate programs, 96 from master’s programs, 12 from doctoral programs, and 17 from the Professional Engineer Program (PPI). Outstanding academic achievements were also recorded, with 236 graduates earning cum laude honors, reflecting their strong dedication as well as the support of SEEI lecturers and staff committed to delivering high-quality education.
In his remarks, Dr. Tutun Juhana emphasized that graduates are not merely degree holders, but pioneers expected to apply the knowledge and values gained at SEEI to provide real solutions to national challenges. “Your journey does not end here; the future awaits your roles, contributions, and innovations. We believe you will bring pride to ITB, your families, and the nation,” he stated.
Beyond the atmosphere of pride, the event was enlivened by a rampak gendang performance by KOMSTRAD that energized the audience, as well as special performances by two internal SEEI music groups. DIGI Band, consisting of SEEI lecturers and led directly by Dr. Tutun Juhana as vocalist, and The Pikiraneun Band, formed by educational staff, performed uplifting songs. These performances not only provided entertainment but also symbolized the strong sense of togetherness and solidarity within the SEEI community.
At the end of the event, a graduate delivered a message on behalf of all graduates, expressing gratitude and emotion for the journey undertaken at SEEI ITB. “We thank the lecturers, educational staff, and the entire SEEI community who have been an essential part of our journey,” said the graduate representative. He also invited his peers to remember this moment as the starting point of their contributions to society. This message reflected the renewed spirit of the graduates to move forward and continue ITB’s legacy as agents of change.
Congratulations to all SEEI ITB graduates. May the knowledge and experiences gained serve as a strong foundation for future achievements and meaningful contributions!
