Professor Y. Bandung, Dr. Ir. S.T., M.T., Delivers Inaugural Professorial Lecture: “Innovations in Internet Multimedia Computing for High-Quality and Efficient Data Transmission”

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB extends its congratulations to Professor Y. Bandung, Dr. Ir. S.T., M.T., on the delivery of his Inaugural Professorial Lecture, which took place at the West Hall Auditorium, ITB, under the theme “Innovations in Internet Multimedia Computing for High-Quality and Efficient Data Transmission.”

In his lecture, Prof. Y. Bandung highlighted the phenomenon of multimedia dominance on the internet, which now accounts for the majority of global data traffic, as well as the opportunities for its application across various fields such as education, digital healthcare and pharmacy services, and security systems based on intelligent sensors and AI analytics. All of these aspects require innovations in internet multimedia computing to operate more efficiently, with higher quality, and in ways that are relevant to the needs of modern society.

SEEI ITB expresses its highest appreciation for Prof. Y. Bandung’s contributions to the advancement of science and technology, and hopes that this achievement will inspire the ITB academic community to continue creating and innovating.
