Visit of Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) to SEEI ITB to Discuss Potential Research and Academic Collaboration

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB received a visit from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The activity was held at the SEEI ITB Meeting Room, Labtek VIII, 2nd Floor, and was attended by faculty representatives and leadership from both institutions.

The meeting discussed various opportunities for collaboration between SEEI ITB and NAIST, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), which is a primary focus of both institutions. Through the discussions, both parties reviewed the potential for joint research and academic collaboration that can be developed together, including research cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of international academic networks. . .

In addition to discussing research collaboration opportunities, the NAIST delegation also introduced various postgraduate programs they offer, including Master’s and Doctoral programs. On this occasion, NAIST provided opportunities for ITB students to pursue further studies at NAIST through various academic cooperation schemes.

The activity also included discussions on opportunities for faculty and student exchange, as well as the potential to produce joint international scientific publications. Through this visit, SEEI ITB and NAIST expressed their commitment to strengthening institutional relations and expanding cooperation in the fields of research and higher education, particularly those related to technology development and artificial intelligence.
