ITB Education Virtual Open House 2021

The ITB Open House for Education is usually one of the most anticipated events for prospective ITB students. At the event, prospective students can visit and ask questions directly to the academic community and watch presentations. The event also serves as a chance to visit Bandung, seeing and touring the Ganesha and Jatinangor campuses.

Compared to previous years, the 2021 ITB Education Open House is taking a different approach. Adapting to the current pandemic situation, which prohibits large gatherings, the 2021 ITB Education Open House is being held virtually.

The event will run for three days, from January 15, 2021, to January 17, 2021. All events can be viewed by visiting the official Education Open House website at http://virtualopenhouse.itb.ac.id/. Similar to the usual offline event, participants can visit faculty booths, ask questions to academics, watch presentations from faculty representatives, and obtain information about ITB admission pathways and scholarships.

Despite being held virtually, the enthusiasm of attendees remained undiminished. STEI ITB offered live consultations via Zoom, and the room was always filled with prospective students asking questions daily. Educational staff, Academic Assistants, and student association representatives were ready to answer prospective student questions and provide information about studying and life at ITB.

The faculty presentations were available to watch via Zoom and the ITB YouTube channel. Unfortunately, there were audio issues on the YouTube channel, causing the audio to be inaudible at the beginning of the presentation. This prompted questions about the audio being absent on YouTube's comments section. After waiting for some time, the audio finally returned, and the presentation could proceed.
