Tel-IP Public Lecture 2012
Telecom and Internet Professional (Tel-IP) Lectures Week is a series of public lectures in the field of Telecommunications and Internet managed by the Telecommunications Engineering Research Group, STEI ITB. TEL-IP 2012 is a reformulation of the implementation of the Telecommunications Selected Chapters (ET-4282) course, where students are expected to be able to understand the state of the industrial world related to their field of study, through guest lectures given by professionals and industry players, especially in the field of Telecommunications and Internet. Different from previous implementations, Tel-IP 2012 will be more focused and will be implemented in 4 consecutive days.
The theme for Tel-IP 2012 is “Broadband Ecosystem & Next Wave Telecoms in Indonesia”. This theme is in line with industrial developments (global and national), in accordance with the direction of national policy and accommodates the transformation that is taking place in the world of Telecommunications and the Internet in welcoming the new era of convergent services. Tel-IP 2012 is open to all ITB academics, especially STEI academics (all Study Programs and all classes) and is mandatory for final year students of the Telecommunications Engineering study program who take ET4282.
Tel-IP 2012 was held from March 26-29, 2012, at the Auditorium of ITB's East Campus Center. The event was divided into 16 sessions, equivalent to 25 hours of lectures, with invited professionals from 9 domestic and international companies/institutions. The invited institutions came from various backgrounds, including vendors, operators, regulators, and service/content providers/developers. The speakers were:
