Biomedical Engineering Lab

Head of Lab : Astri Handayani, S.T, M.T.

The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory has a strategic position between biomedical instrumentation and biomedical informatics. Research includes improvements in medical imaging construction, fetal detectors and signal systems, ultrasound hardware, and diagnostic software.

High Voltage and Current Engineering Lab

Head of Lab: Prof.Dr.Ir. Umar Khayam,S.T., M.T.

This laboratory provides facilities for research on insulation materials in tropical environments, physical phenomena, power and electronic system protection, grounding, electromagnetic compatibility, maintenance and technology of electrical equipment, and equipment risk analysis.

Artificial Intelligence Lab

Head of Lab: Dessi Puji Lestari, S.T, M.Eng., Ph.D.

This laboratory focuses on intelligent graphics engines, computer vision, intelligent agents & multi-agent systems, NLP, text mining, speech processing, expert systems, intelligent information systems, machine learning, and robotics.

Computational Science and Engineering Lab

Head of Lab: Nugraha Priya Utama, S.T, M.A., Ph.D.

This laboratory supports research in information retrieval, search engines, information extraction, recommendation systems, summarization, computational linguistics, cryptography, coding theory, compression, computer simulation, computational theory, algorithm design, numerical methods, automata, and compiler design.

Electric Energy Conversion Lab

Head of Lab: Burhanuddin Halimi, S.T, M.T, Ph.D.

The Electrical Energy Conversion Research Laboratory is a facility dedicated to research and experimentation related to electrical machines, power electronics, electric drives, power quality, power generation systems, and microgrids. In addition to electrical machines, power converters, and computers for experimental work, the laboratory is equipped with facilities for mechanical work. The laboratory also collaborates with numerous national and international companies and institutions to conduct research across various areas within the field of electrical engineering.

Radio and Microwave Telecommunication Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Irma Zakia, S.T, M.Sc.

This laboratory provides research facilities in areas related to radio telecommunications, electromagnetics, satellite and terrestrial communications, cellular communications, wireless communications, antennas and wave propagation, microwave devices, signal processing, radar and navigation, as well as telemedicine and e-Health.

Software Engineering Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Yani Widyani, S.T, M.T.

This laboratory supports research activities in the following topics: web engineering including web services, service-oriented architecture, mobile application development, enterprise application technologies, and software development techniques and methods. It also supports teaching activities in software engineering and related courses such as Basic and Advanced Software Engineering, Software Projects, and Object-Oriented Software Analysis and Design.

Power System and Network Dynamics Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Ir. Nanang Hariyanto, M.T.

This laboratory facilitates research in power system computation, power system delivery (including distribution planning and power management systems, AI-based simultaneous generation and transmission planning, and the application of FACTS), power system operation and economics (including the application of game theory and evolutionary computation for power system operation, and the application of phasor measurement units for voltage stability and out-of-step detection), as well as SCADA and Smart Grid (including adaptive protection for power distribution and self-healing mechanisms).

Telematics Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Hamonangan Situmorang, S.T, M.T.

The Telematics Laboratory provides research and educational facilities in the following areas: networking and infrastructure, the Internet of Things and smart devices/equipment, telecommunication systems and services, performance modeling and analysis, application and business studies, and network security. The laboratory is equipped with various facilities and laboratory networks, occupying approximately 1,200 square meters.

Electronic Components Lab

Head of Lab: Muhammad Iqbal Arsyad, S.T, M.T.

This laboratory supports research on digital radio SoC, analog VLSI circuits and systems, heterogeneous multicore architectures, wireless sensor networks, and embedded systems.

Basic of Electrical Engineering Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Waskita Adijarto, ST.,MT.

This facility serves as an instructional laboratory, particularly for required courses in the Electrical Engineering (EE) program that meet ABET international accreditation standards. It supports laboratory work for core EE courses such as Electric Circuits (EC), Electronics and Digital Systems (DS), as well as EE breadth courses such as Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Microprocessor Systems (MS).

Basic of Electrical Engineering Lab

Head of Lab: Latifa Dwiyanti, S.T., M.T.

The Database Laboratory provides support for educational and research activities related to database computing. Its facilities include multiple database server platforms connected through a networked computer environment for research in the following topics: data warehousing and business intelligence, data mining, web databases, temporal database representation and modeling, metadata applications and management, distributed databases, database processing, and patterns and pattern languages for conceptual data models.

Basic of Informatics Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Techn. Muhammad Zuhri Catur Candra, S.T, M.T.

The Basic Informatics / Computer Science Laboratory provides computing services for all students of the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI). It specifically supports laboratory work for introductory programming, algorithms and data structures, as well as object-oriented programming courses. The laboratory occupies five rooms, housing a total of 181 networked computers with Internet access. Whenever a lab room is not being used for scheduled laboratory sessions, SEEI students may use the facility to work on coursework and access the Internet.

Programming Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Agung Dewandaru, S.T., M.Sc.

This laboratory primarily provides services for SEEI students carrying out their Final Projects related to programming. It occupies a 60-square-meter room and is equipped with computers operating on various platforms and operating systems. In addition, the laboratory offers support for programming-related courses.

Control and Computer System Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Pranoto H. Rusmin, ST.,MT. 

This laboratory supports research in Optimal Control, Robust Control, Adaptive Control, Nonlinear Control and Chaos, Stochastic Control and Estimation, Multivariable Linear Systems, Distributed-Parameter Systems, Modeling and Identification, Intelligent and Control Systems, Process Optimization and Scheduling, Discretization of Control and Hybrid Systems, Computer Architecture, and Parallel and Distributed Computing, as well as Complex Adaptive Systems.

Information System Lab

Head of Lab: Dicky Prima Satya, S.T, M.T.

The Information System Lab (ISL) is an academic and research support unit for conducting research in the field of information systems. ISL aims to provide technology that enables the emergence of an information society and the digital economy. Research at ISL focuses on data management and information analytics to optimize the systematic implementation of an interconnected digital world. Core topics include information systems development, data analysis, information science, and conceptual modeling. ISL members teach courses on information systems development; data, information, and IS management and integration; and business–technology integration.

Distributed System Lab

Head of Lab: Achmad Imam Kistijantoro, S.T, M.Sc., Ph.D. 

The Distributed Systems Lab (DSL) is an academic and research facility supporting research in distributed systems. Our main interests include GPU-based parallel computing, mobile computing, scalable distributed systems (transactions, application servers, databases), large-scale Internet services, group communication, unified messaging systems, middleware, and computer architecture. DSL members teach courses in distributed systems, operating systems, parallel and concurrent programming, and computer architecture.

Signal and Systems Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Yoanes Bandung, S.T, M.T.

This laboratory supports research in digital signal processing, speech processing, natural language processing and robotics, signal compression, stochastic systems, system theory, system analysis and design, optical communications, and information technology.

Computer Engineering Lab

Head of Lab: Dr. Reza Darmakusuma, S.T, M.T.

This laboratory supports R&D activities in Human–Content Interaction, Internet of Things, High-Performance Computing, and Artificial Intelligence, primarily at the postgraduate level. It also plays a role in supporting academic activities for Capstone Final Projects in the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program and the Master’s programs, particularly in Digital Media, Game Technology, and Computer Engineering. The laboratory is equipped with advanced Human–Content Interaction facilities such as HMDs, AR HoloLens, IoT development systems, 3D printers, and laser-cutting systems, and is supported by a high-performance data center.

Advanced Computing Lab

Head of Lab: Achmad Imam Kistijantoro, ST.,M.Sc.,Ph.D.

The Advanced Computing Laboratory provides various advanced facilities for all degree programs within the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. It offers equipment for the Internet of Things, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality, drones, and High-Performance Computing facilities, including GPU processing.

Laboratorium Kendali Lanjut Honeywell

Head of Lab: Dr. Pranoto H. Rusmin, ST.,MT.

The Honeywell Control Laboratory was inaugurated on December 1, 2016, by the President of Honeywell Indonesia, Allex Pollack, the President of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsyah Suryadi, and the Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI ITB), Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring. This laboratory is designed for students to study industrial process control and other related fields that support Industry 4.0.
