Agung Harsoyo was born in Yogyakarta, September 14, 1969. He earned an Engineering degree in Telecommunications from the Bandung Institute of Technology (1993), an M.Sc. in Optoelectronics from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale, and an M.Eng. in Signal Processing on Telecommunication from Télécom Bretagne (1996). He earned a Doctorate in Optical and Electromagnetic from the Université de Bretagne Sud, France (2003). He is currently a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at ITB since 1993.
