The Telecommuniations Engineering program is interdisciplinary.
Telecommunications Engineering requires a blend of knowledge from the areas of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management , Economics and Policy.
The Telecommunications Engineering program is based on a solid foundation of science and mathematics coursework.
Students in this program are given an opportunity to learn to extend their abilities to analyze and solve complex problems and to design new uses of technology to serve today’s society.
The program provides an integrated educational experience directed toward the development of the ability to apply pertinent knowledge to the identification and solution of practical problems in telecommunications engineering.
The program ensure that design experience, which includes both analytical and experimental studies, is integrated throughout the curriculum in a sequential development leading to advanced work.
Program Educational Objectives:
- Technical Knowledge: Provide a basic knowledge of telecommunication engineering principles along with the required supporting knowledge of mathematics, science, computing, and engineering fundamentals.
- Laboratory and Design Skills: develop the basic skills needed to perform and design experimental projects. Develop the ability to formulate problems and projects and to plan a process for solutions taking advantage of diverse technical knowledge and skills.
- Communication Skills: develop the ability to organize and present information, and to write and speak effective Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Preparation for the profession: provide an appreciation for the broad spectrum of issues arising in professional practice, including teamwork, ledership, safety, ethics, service, economy, environmental awareness, and professional organizations
- Preparation for further study: provide a sufficient breadth and depth for successful subsequent graduate study, post-graduate study, or lifelong learning programs.
- Preparation for national industrial development: provide a sufficient basics to have active roles in developing telecommunication engineering and other related industries in Indonesia.
