Computer Engineering is a discipline that embodies the science and technology of design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware component of modern compuiting systems and computer-controlled equipment.

Computer Engineering has traditionality been viewed as a combination of both computer science (CS) and electrical engineering (EE).

Computer Engineering is concerned with the design and construction of computers and computer-based systems. It involves the study of hardware, software, communication, and the interaction among them. Its curriculum focuses on the theories, principles, and practices of traditional electrical engineering and mathematics and applies them to the problems of designing computer and computer-based devices.

Computer Engineering should be able to design and implement systems that involves the integration of software and hardware devices.
