Bandung, Indonesia – March 20th, 2023 – The xG Research Center of Use Cases and Applications (“xG Research Center”) today celebrated a significant milestone with the official handover of a dedicated 5G base station by Huawei. This generous contribution provides the Center with unprecedented flexibility to tailor 5G network parameters to meet the specific requirements of diverse use cases and applications, opening up exciting new possibilities for research and innovation. 

Unlocking the Potential of Customized 5G Networks

The donated 5G base station, comprising advanced equipment such as the Huawei AAU5639, Huawei RRU5513, and Huawei EasyRET 1L4H 10-Port Antenna with 5 Integrated RCUs, empowers the xG Research Center to:

  • Conduct In-depth Research: Researchers can now meticulously study the impact of various network configurations on different 5G applications, gaining valuable insights into optimizing network performance for specific use cases.
  • Develop Tailored Solutions: The ability to customize network parameters allows the Center to develop 5G solutions that are precisely tailored to the needs of vertical industries, such as smart mining, smart warehouse, and smart campus.
