Beliau dikenal luas atas kontribusinya dalam bidang komunikasi bergerak seluler nirkabel dan pengembangan sistem High Altitude\\ Platform Station (HAPS).<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Iskandar menyelesaikan pendidikan doktornya di bidang Ilmu Telekomunikasi pada Maret 2007 dari Waseda University, Jepang\u2014salah satu universitas riset terkemuka di Asia. Sebelumnya, ia meraih gelar Magister Teknik pada tahun 2000 dan Sarjana Teknik pada tahun 1995 dari Departemen Teknik Elektro, Institut Teknologi Bandung, dengan fokus utama pada bidang telekomunikasi. Sejak masa studi doktoralnya di Jepang, beliau telah meneliti karakterisasi kanal dan pemodelan propagasi untuk sistem komunikasi mobile berbasis HAPS. Publikasi-publikasinya di prosiding dan jurnal internasional IEEE menjadi rujukan penting dalam bidang komunikasi bergerak seluler nirkabel dan HAPS, menunjukkan kontribusi ilmiah yang konsisten dan berdampak. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, beliau memimpin riset mengenai koeksistensi HAPS dan jaringan seluler 5G (IMT-2020), pengembangan algoritma machine learning untuk perencanaan jaringan 5G. Selain itu, ia aktif mengembangkan teknologi akses nirkabel untuk meningkatkan cakupan dan kapasitas data, serta sistem komunikasi untuk kereta cepat dan jaringan sensor nirkabel berbasis HAPS.<\/p>\n<p>Di luar kegiatan akademik, Dr. Iskandar telah terlibat dalam berbagai proyek penelitian nasional sebagai ketua tim studi, konsultan, maupun instruktur teknis. Sejak akhir 2000-an hingga kini, ia telah menangani beberapa proyek penelitian yang bekerja sama dengan instansi pemerintah seperti Kementerian dan Lembaga serta perusahaan BUMN dan swasta. Proyek-proyek tersebut mencakup spektrum yang luas\u2014dari penyusunan roadmap spektrum frekuensi, harmonisasi spektrum 5G dan satelit, pengembangan sistem pemantauan SLA untuk segmen darat, hingga sistem pemantauan berbasis IoT. Beliau juga menjadi narasumber pelatihan di beberapa lembaga serta turut menyusun standar kompetensi nasional di bidang telekomunikasi seluler. Melalui peran ini, Dr. Iskandar telah menjembatani dunia akademik dan kebutuhan praktis sektor industri serta pemerintahan, menjadikan keahliannya relevan dan berdampak luas dalam pembangunan
