International Undergraduate Program (IUP)

Empowering Future Global Leaders in Electrical Engineering and Informatics

ITB International Undergraduate Program offers a prestigious, globally oriented academic experience that immerses students in international learning and global academic engagement. At the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, five highly competitive and internationally benchmarked academic programs equip students with the skills, global perspectives, and competencies needed to excel and lead in an increasingly interconnected world.

Our Academic Programs

International Learning Framework

ITB International Undergraduate Program is designed to deliver an academic experience of international quality for every student. With a curriculum structured to prepare graduates for global competition across diverse fields, students are required to undertake a minimum of one semester of outbound exchange at partner universities abroad, at their own expense. This international exposure allows students to experience world-class learning environments, gain global perspectives, and build an international network that provides lasting value beyond graduation. All academic activities within the International Class are conducted entirely in English, ensuring full immersion in a global academic setting.

Global Academic Partners

Our program collaborates with leading universities across Asia, Europe, Australia, and the United States, providing students with opportunities to gain international academic experience in various specialized study programs. In Asia, partner universities include NTUST (Taiwan); National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore; KAIST, Inha University, Pukyong National University, and Hanyang University in South Korea; as well as several universities in Japan such as Tokyo University of Science, The University of Tokyo, NAIST, Kyushu University, Kyushu Institute of Technology, University of Tsukuba, Toyohashi University of Technology, Shibaura Institute of Technology, UEC Tokyo, and Waseda University. Additional partners in Malaysia include Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaya, and Universiti Teknologi Petronas.

These institutions offer collaboration across several study areas, including Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Communication Engineering, Sustainable Power Engineering, and Cybersecurity.

In Europe, partner universities include Imperial College London and the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom; University of Groningen and TU Eindhoven in the Netherlands; KU Leuven in Belgium; and Universität Duisburg-Essen in Germany. In Australia and the United States, the program collaborates with Curtin University and UNSW Australia, as well as Arizona State University and Brown University in the United States.

About Bandung: Where Creativity Meets the Mountain Breeze

Bandung is the capital city of West Java Province, Indonesia. Located in the highlands of western Java at approximately 730 meters above sea level, the city enjoys a cool and pleasant climate throughout the year, making it one of the most comfortable major cities in the country.

History & Identity
Bandung’s origins date back to the early 19th century. While Dutch colonial administration later formalized the city’s municipal status in 1906, Bandung had already existed as a settlement under local leadership before that period. During the colonial era, Bandung earned the nickname “Paris van Java”, inspired by its European-style boulevards, cafés, and boutiques. This heritage remains visible today, especially along historic areas such as Braga Street, which once served as the city’s elite promenade.

Education & Innovation
Bandung is widely recognized as one of Indonesia’s leading education and innovation cities, with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) at the core of its academic and technological ecosystem. As one of the country’s most prestigious universities, ITB plays a central role in shaping Bandung’s identity as a center for engineering, science, design, and technology. The institution has produced generations of national leaders, engineers, architects, researchers, and entrepreneurs who contribute significantly to Indonesia’s development.
