Indonesia\u00a0<\/strong>Those who had previously only played the role of \"tailors\" in the world of microelectronics were finally able to become designers themselves. Their strong desire to develop high-tech products was finally realized.<\/p>\n

As the industry developed by Prof. Trio Adiono<\/a>, enabling Indonesia to design chips domestically. The company, named PT, Xirka Silicon Technology is a company engaged in the design sector.\u00a0chipset semiconductor<\/em>. This company is an industry\u00a0design house chip\u00a0<\/em>first in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Industri\u00a0design house<\/em>\u00a0is an industry that focuses on designing electronic components. Therefore, it can be considered a product owner.<\/p>\n

Some of the products that have been produced are:\u00a04G\/WiMax, smart card<\/em>.\u00a0chip IoT.<\/em>\u00a0Produk\u00a0smart card<\/em>\u00a0The developed system has been used in several universities such as the Bandung Institute of Technology, Hassanuddin University, University of Indonesia, Telkom University and Riau University.<\/p>\n

“Starting in 1994 at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), my final project research and thesis carried the topic of chip and processor design, ” said Prof. Trio.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the electronics industry is one of the industrial sectors with the largest export value. In developed countries, the electronics industry's contribution to the GDP is very significant. However, Indonesia is not yet self-sufficient in electronics components.<\/p>\n

Padahal,\u00a0expert<\/em>\u00a0Electronics in Indonesia has learned a lot about design, but on an industrial scale, it is still minimal in Indonesia. This is what encouraged Prof. Trio to develop the industry\u00a0design house<\/em>\u00a0first in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Starting from the Final Assignment<\/h3>\n

Through his final project research, he then studied microelectronics further at the Tokyo Institute of Technology at the S3 level. After completing his doctoral program and\u00a0post-doctoral<\/em>, he works at a design company\u00a0house chip<\/em>\u00a0in Japan.<\/p>\n

\"When I was a kid, electronics was something sophisticated and fascinating to me. It could transform something inanimate into something moving, something uncontrollable into something controllable,\" said Prof. Trio..<\/p>\n

Armed with the experience he had gained, he decided to return to Indonesia to realize his desire to build an electronics industry in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Perkembangan industri\u00a0design house chip<\/em>\u00a0Firstly, it is not without challenges. According to Prof. Trio, , the main difficulty in building an industry\u00a0design house chip<\/em>\u00a0is marketing. The reality is that Indonesian products sold domestically are actually experiencing sales difficulties.<\/p>\n

\u201cChallenges in the industry\u00a0hi-tech<\/em>\u00a0In Indonesia, without regulatory intervention, it will be quite difficult. This is because we\u00a0head-to-head\u00a0<\/em>\"We're competing with large international companies. They have high operational efficiency, allowing them to sell at lower prices. This is a challenge for us,\" said Prof. Trio..<\/p>\n

From a technical point of view,\u00a0human resource<\/em>\u00a0Indonesia's talent still needs to be improved in terms of quality and quantity. The number of talents in this field is still minimal and has not yet reached\u00a0critical mass<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He also hopes that there will be products that have been accepted by the Indonesian people, becoming\u00a0booming<\/em>, is widely beneficial and used by the community due to its needs. Thus, it can attract other industries to develop in Indonesia. He also had a special message for the students.<\/p>\n
