Ericsson has demonstrated its capability and readiness in showcasing and implementing its 5G technology to contribute to Indonesia's steps towards the industrial revolution 4.0 through an exhibition 'Welcome to the Do Zone' in Jakarta, at the end of April.<\/p>\n

At the event held at a star-rated hotel, Ericsson presented various demos that could show examples of 5G use in the industrial sector, the importance of low latency, and the benefits of massive connectivity in the implementation of 5G technology.<\/p>\n

Several STEI students, accompanied by lecturers, had the opportunity to visit and witness a firsthand presentation of the technology from Ericsson. Furthermore, the exhibition provided participants with important insights into the roadmap to 5G implementation, from building a solid foundation on 4G technology to creating new business models and future innovations.<\/p>\n

The showcase presented at the event is part of the Ericsson exhibition that was displayed at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona earlier this year, which is now being presented exclusively to Indonesia.<\/p>\n

At the event, Ericsson presented its 'Do Zone', showcasing solutions and supporting facts in 5G, IoT, network virtualization, and cloud infrastructure. Ericsson also showcased the opportunities 5G technology offers\u2014from enhanced mobile broadband to industry solutions and consumer applications, as well as key technology enablers.<\/p>\n

\"4G is the foundation of 5G, and Indonesian operators must ensure their 4G networks are 5G-ready. Ericsson is the right partner to help operators maximize the potential of 4G, help them evolve from 4G to 5G, and contribute to the national agenda of 'Making Indonesia 4.0,'\" said Jerry, CEO of Ericsson Indonesia.<\/p>\n
