Suhono Harso Supangkat, M.Eng, in order to fill the Collaboration with UTS Sydney and Jakarta Smart City at the Australian Embassy with resource persons and the Deputy Australian Ambassador.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jakarta.<\/strong> The University of Technology Sydney and Jakarta Smart City recently hosted a seminar and workshop for two hundred academics, government officials, and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking at the seminar was a professor from STEI-ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suhono Harso Supangkat, M.Eng. Prof. Suhono is the originator of the Smart City idea, which supports sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>A Smart City is a concept that presents comprehensive, real-time information about a city's condition. This information can then be accessed through a control room. The goal is for the mayor to receive information directly, not through \"prompters,\" and to access as much information as possible in a short time. This effort to go directly into the field can be represented by a sensor system activated in various locations.<\/p>\n<p>According to Prof. Suhono, an information system like this is expected to support transparent and sustainable development. It promotes data transparency with minimal manipulation. With a well-managed data system, the mayor and his staff can have comprehensive data on both past and present conditions to predict future conditions. This is a concept that supports sustainable development for a better Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The Role of Smart Citizenship in Smart Cities: Lessons Learned&#8221;<\/em> itself is presented by the University of Technology and Jakarta Smart City, in collaboration with the Bandung Institute of Technology and the Smart Indonesia Initiative Association.<\/p>\n<p>The event is supported by Austrade, the New South Wales Government, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, and the Jakarta government.
