Coinciding with the 2015 SNMPTN socialization, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tati Latifah R. Mengko, the chairperson of the <a href=\"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/en\/kelompok-keilmuan\/teknik-biomedika\/\">KK BME<\/a> ITB, who is also an alumnus of SMAN 3 Bandung, said that the challenges in the field of global health and the unique interests of students who love... <em>.<\/em> and medicine needs to be accommodated with a new study program, namely the Biomedical Engineering Study Program. \"We need to accommodate the interests of students who like engineering and medicine. This interest is very important because it relates to students'\u00a0<em>enjoy<\/em> or not when I go to school later,\" said the only female professor at STEI.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-632 aligncenter\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/biomed.stei.itb.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/03\/kunjungan-sman3-edit.jpg\" alt=\"kunjungan sman3-edit\" width=\"304\" height=\"228\" \/>The socialization at SMAN 3 Bandung began with a presentation of the achievements of SMAN 3 Bandung students by the Principal, Drs. Encang Iskandar, M.Pd., followed by an explanation of SNMPTN and the 2015 ITB entrance selection by Dr. Ahmad Syarief, S.Sn.,MSD.. \u201cITB only accepts new students in 2015 through two channels, namely SNMPTN and SBMPTN. There is no independent selection,\u201d said Ahmad Syarief, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FSRD ITB.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-420 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/biomed.stei.itb.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2014\/10\/Prof.-Dr.-Ir.-Tati-Latifah-R.-Mengko1.jpg\" alt=\"Prof. Dr. Ir. Tati Latifah R. Mengko\" width=\"130\" height=\"167\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\"Biomedical Engineering is a multidisciplinary science,\" explained Prof. Tati, who then detailed several studies that have been conducted by ITB's Biomedical Engineering. <em>Assistive Technology<\/em>, seperti <a href=\"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/en\/blog\/2011\/02\/25\/mandiri-dengan-albatros-2\/\">Albatros<\/a>, can help people with motor disabilities carry out various activities. <em>Smart phone<\/em> Prof. Tati continued, \"The skills students possess can be made more useful by incorporating health monitoring applications. \"The current trend is for measuring equipment to become household-scale tools,\" Prof. Tati added. Interdisciplinary collaboration is also realized through the presence of\u00a0<em>continues passive motion machine<\/em>where the design and <em>.<\/em> merge into one in making a therapy tool for patients after surgery.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-626 aligncenter\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/biomed.stei.itb.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/03\/Albartos.jpg\" alt=\"Albartos\" width=\"257\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Biomedical Engineering Study Program officially accepted new students in 2015 through a specialization program.
