{"id":4584,"date":"2014-12-10T09:19:20","date_gmt":"2014-12-10T02:19:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/?p=4584"},"modified":"2016-02-09T14:32:18","modified_gmt":"2016-02-09T07:32:18","slug":"pt-len-gandeng-itb-kembangkan-lte-4g","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/en\/pt-len-gandeng-itb-kembangkan-lte-4g\/","title":{"rendered":"PT LEN Gandeng ITB Kembangkan LTE 4G"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, December 9 2014, at the East Hall of the ITB Campus, ITB collaborated with ITB PT Len Industri (Persero) for research, especially related to <em>Long Term Evolution (LTE)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\"We are collaborating with ITB to connect research at universities to industry,\" said Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Division of PT Len Industri Tarmizi Kemal Fasya, Tuesday (9\/12).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4586\" src=\"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/Resize-of-IMG_20141209_094821.jpg\" alt=\"Resize of IMG_20141209_094821\" width=\"575\" height=\"432\" \/><br \/>\nThe collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Division of PT LEN, Tarmizi Kemal Fasya and ITB represented by the Head of the ITB Microelectronics Center, Dr. Eng Trio Adiono along with Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring as the Deputy Dean for Resources of the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the East Hall Building, ITB Campus.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tarmizi, the 4G LTE Chipset Technology and Product Development collaboration was established because Len is a manufacturing company, possessing the capabilities, experience, and human resources in the electronics and telecommunications industries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Now, we are interested in entering the market <em>base station<\/em> LTE,&#8221; katanya.<\/p>\n<p>They also take advantage of<em> hardware, software,<\/em> and other resources. In addition, joint product development includes research, prototype development, marketing, and field implementation.<\/p>\n<p>\"Production is likely to begin in March or April. The investment value will only be determined after the MoU is signed,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Through a collaboration with ITB, he said, LEN is utilizing the design results of ITB's PME for manufacturing using a production line built in Batam.
