With the aim of finding concepts for the development and use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and using them to build platform<\/em> On a national scale, the 10th National Conference and Meeting on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was held again from Monday to Wednesday (June 23-25, 2014) in the West Hall of ITB. In accordance with this objective, the conference, organized by e-Indonesia Initiatives<\/em> (eII) and the ITB College of Electrical and Informatics (STEI) raised the theme “Smart System Platform for The Nation”<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This ICT conference aims to be a communication forum between researchers, activists, bureaucrats, government, system developers, industry circles and all ICT communications in Indonesia and abroad. The results of this conference have become national ICT applications, including the ten principles of ICT Bandung and input for national ICT programs such as the Information and Communication Technology Council (DETIKNAS). On the first day of this activity, a parallel session was held where conference participants from various agencies presented various researches which were divided into several main topics including Concepts and Development Smart City<\/em>, Infrastructure for Smart City<\/em>, Governance for Smart City<\/em>, Design and Engineering for Smart City<\/em>, as well as Applications and services for Smart City<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On the second day, the Deputy Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia was present as\u00a0 keynote speaker<\/em> which discussed \"Infrastructure for Smart Cities\". The seminar then continued with a session on \"Strategies Towards Smart Cities\". Smart City<\/em>” presented by the Mayor of Bandung, Moch. Ridwan Kamil, ST, MUD, and a representative from the Mayor of Banda Aceh, who outlined their respective city strategies for becoming smart cities. Representatives from PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia and the Ministry of National Development Planning also spoke at the session.<\/p>\n

In the next session, the Mayor of Bogor, Dr. Bima Arya; the Mayor of Makassar, Ir. H. Moh. Ramadhan Pomanto; Professor of SAPPK ITB, Prof. Roos Akbar; and the Director Head of Technology and System<\/em> PT. Telkomsel membahas mengenai “Kesiapan Pemangku Kepentingan Menuju Smart City<\/em>“. In the final session, speakers in the business field were presented who discussed “The Role of the ICT Industry in Urban Issues” by representatives from PT. XL Axiata, PT. Indosat, PT. Q-Free, and Professor of SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Utomo Sarjono Putro.<\/p>\n

Representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information along with Professor from the University of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Sudarsono Hardjosukarto became .<\/em> on the final day. The event then continued with the final session, a discussion on \"Regulatory and Standardization Policies\" by BPPT, the Director General of Applications and Informatics, the Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, the Telecommunications and Information Society (Mastel), and DETIKNAS.<\/p>\n

\"With this activity, it is hoped that it can continue to provide input for .<\/em> \"ICT in Indonesia is becoming increasingly efficient and in line with the vision and mission of the Indonesian nation and this forum is expected to continue to be implemented continuously and periodically so that its contribution is increasingly visible and has a direct impact on the growth of national development,\" said Prof. Dr. Suhono Harso Supangkat, General Chairperson of eII, in his remarks.<\/p>\n
