Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id \u2013 The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), Institut Teknologi Bandung, welcomed an official delegation from Leiden University, the Netherlands. The meeting took place at the STEI ITB Meeting Room, Labtek 8 Building, 2nd Floor, and marked an initial step in exploring academic collaboration between the two leading institutions.<\/p>\n

The visit was part of Leiden University\u2019s efforts to establish and expand its academic collaboration network with prominent universities in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia. STEI ITB was selected as a potential partner due to its strong track record and reputation in the fields of electrical engineering, informatics, and information technology.<\/p>\n

The Leiden University delegation was led by Prof. dr. Erik H.J. Danen, Dean of the Graduate School of Science at Leiden University, accompanied by Zweta Manggarani and Afwan Afwandi. The presence of the Dean of the Graduate School of Science reflected Leiden University\u2019s strong commitment to exploring sustainable and in-depth collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

During the meeting, both parties discussed various potential forms of collaboration, ranging from student and academic staff exchange programs, joint research collaboration, to the development of dual degree programs. The discussion proceeded productively, with both institutions exchanging information on their respective strengths and potential areas for future collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

Leiden University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe, was founded in 1575 and has a long-standing tradition of excellence in research, particularly in the fields of science, technology, and the humanities. Collaboration with STEI ITB is expected to mutually strengthen the research and teaching capacities of both institutions.<\/p>\n

This visit is expected to serve as the beginning of a series of further discussions that may lead to the establishment of an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as the foundation for future collaboration between the two institutions.
