BBIC (BlackBerry Innovation Center), in collaboration with the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (LPIK ITB), conducted a rigorous selection and assessment of proposals for the National Business Plan Technopreneurship Competition for Students. The theme of the proposals was the National Innovation Competition on Smart Mobile Ecosystem.<\/p>\n
And the best proposal was won by Muhammad Hasby (13509054), a student of Informatics Engineering class of 2009. Muhammad Hasby successfully created and submitted a proposal entitled \"Optimal Path Finding based on Traffic Information from Twitter\". Muhammad Hasby was guided in compiling his final assignment by Dr. Masayu Leylia Khodra ST, MT., who is a lecturer from Informatics Engineering School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics ITB.<\/p>\n
The announcement of the winners of the competition with a total prize of USD 115,000 was made on the sidelines of the ICT for Smart Society event, e-Indonesia Initiatives Forum 2013 in the west hall of ITB, Bandung, Friday (24\/5\/2013).<\/p>\n
\"BlackBerry and ITB's collaboration in creating the BIC program has been going on since 2012. This includes providing scholarships, conducting research, and holding national-level competitions,\" said the Head of LPIK ITB, Prof. Dr. Suhono Harso Supangkat.<\/p>\n
He said the participants had demonstrated their potential and talent. The goal of this competition is to inspire other young people to become entrepreneurs and job creators, while also contributing to economic growth.<\/p>\n
BlackBerry Indonesia Managing Director Maspiyono Handoyo added that BlackBerry will support the talented young generation in the country to accelerate the growth of the mobile application industry.<\/p>\n
\"With this competition, we hope to create a strong foundation for mobilizing ICT entrepreneurs to help grow the mobile computing sector,\" he continued.<\/p>\n
In the ICT Business Plan Technopreneurship Competition category, participants were asked to create a startup business that included the opportunity, background, company description, product or service description, target market, technology used, operational management, general management, risk analysis, and financial forecast. The winner of this category received a prize of Rp 50 million.<\/p>\n
The five winning products are EUIS (Electricity Intelligent System), Pasbaru (e-commerce specifically for Pasar Baru Bandung), buSpot (Mobile Application specifically for Trans Jakarta), Smart Ranch (Educational Game) and Electronsole (Home automation system).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in the National Innovation Competition on Smart Mobile Ecosystem, participants, both students and graduates, were challenged to develop research and development proposals for innovative mobile applications that would significantly impact society and the environment. Ten winners received a prize of USD 10,000.<\/p>\n

\n2. Smart Application for Identifying Rice Nitrogen Needs through Leaf Images by Muhammad Baidowi, Hendrik, Irma Lasmiana, Wildam Novebiyatno, Tri Budiarto from IPB.
\n3. Integration of Information Flow in the Implementation of Mobile Device Applications ‘MEETME’ by Arcan Taurus Rendy Yudha, Demas Haryo Bismantoko, Tridoyo, Nabil Putra Adam from Diponegoro University.
\n4. Design and Implementation of a Mobile Content Provision System for the Blended Learning Process by Tri Apriyanto Sundara, Lathifah Arief from Putra Indonesia University-YPTK.
\n5. Smart Building in Existing Building by Mirza Adipradhana from ITB.
\n6. Optimal Path Finding based on Traffic Information from Twitter by Muhammad Hasby, Masayu Leylia Khodra from ITB.
\n7. Development of Augmented Reality as a Visualization in Learning Temples in History Textbooks by Yahya Nursidik from ITB.
\n8. Smart Laboratory by Hendra Jaya, Muhammad Arafah, Sapto Haryoko from STMIK AKBA.
\n9. Mobile e-CRM with Social Media Integration: Dashboard for Executives and Managers by Ventje Jeremias Lewi Engel, Tezza Lantika Riyanto, Dhani Eka Saputra from ITB.
\n10. Registration, Reservation and Queue System for Doctor's Practice in Hospital by Indra Kharisma Raharjana from Airlangga University.<\/p>\n
Congratulations to Muhammad Hasby on his achievements. Hopefully, he can bring honor and pride to STEI.<\/p>\n
