Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id<\/b> \u2014 The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at ITB (ITB) hosted an international guest lecture featuring academics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, on Wednesday, March 5, 2026, at the ITB Ganesha Campus. This event provided a platform for knowledge exchange and provided students with insights into cutting-edge research developments in electrical engineering, particularly in sustainable energy technologies.<\/p>\n

The guest lecture, titled \u201cPower Electronics: Driving a Sustainable Energy Future,\u201d was delivered by Dr. YiTang from Nanyang Technological University. The session took place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. WIB in Classroom 7602, Labtek V Building, 3rd Floor, with a capacity of 110 participants.<\/p>\n

In his presentation, Dr. YiTang discussed how power electronics plays a crucial role in the transition to a more efficient and sustainable energy system. This technology is the foundation for a wide range of modern applications, from renewable energy integration and electric vehicles to smarter power distribution systems.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Through this guest lecture, STEI ITB students and academics had the opportunity to understand the direction of global research developments and the challenges faced in developing future energy technologies. The discussion also provided a space for direct interaction between participants and speakers regarding opportunities for collaborative research and technology development.<\/p>\n

In addition to the guest lecture, the series of activities also continued with a sharing session entitled \"PhD Opportunities at NTU EEE\" which took place from 13.00 WIB until finished in Room 7611 STEI ITB, Labtek V Building, 2nd Floor with a capacity of 20 participants.<\/p>\n

This session provides an overview of doctoral study opportunities at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), NTU, including research topics, the academic environment, and funding schemes available to international students.<\/p>\n

Dr. YiTang's presence at STEI ITB is expected to not only enrich students' academic perspectives but also strengthen the international academic network between ITB and NTU in the fields of electrical engineering and informatics.
