This year, a cross-disciplinary team consisting of Naafi’ Nur Larasati (Visual Communication Design), M. Irfan Hakim (Product Design), Aland Mulia Pratama (Informatics Engineering – SEEI ITB), and Anugrah (Product Design Alumni) won the “Outstanding Market Potential” award for their innovation titled Ulinify. ..

The hackathon, held at Hotel Papandayan Bandung and ITB Innovation Park Summarecon, served as a platform for participants to develop digital solutions aligned with societal needs. During the 3×24-hour competition, the team worked through problem formulation, user research, feature concept development, UI design, and ultimately produced an interactive prototype ready to be presented to the judging panel.

The team’s core innovation, Ulinify, is a gamified sustainability application designed to increase youth engagement in environmental actions. They identified that low participation among younger generations often stems from the perception that eco-friendly activities are complicated, uninteresting, and lack immediate feedback. Ulinify addresses this issue by making sustainability actions easier, more enjoyable, and measurable. .. . .

The application includes several key features, such as daily micro-challenges, proof-of-action uploads, and AI verification that validates photos, screenshots, or geotags using image classification, OCR, and EXIF analysis. Each challenge generates Carbon Points, representing estimated CO₂ reduction. Users can also build streaks, redeem points for rewards, and participate in sponsor challenges from brands seeking impactful campaigns.

By combining technology, design, and user behavior insights, Ulinify was recognized as having strong market potential and high social relevance. This achievement demonstrates that cross-disciplinary collaboration can produce innovations that are not only creative but also have real practical value in everyday life. . .

SEEI ITB expresses its appreciation for this accomplishment and hopes that the innovation will continue to grow and contribute to sustainability movements in Indonesia.

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – Mahasiswa STEI ITB kembali menorehkan prestasi membanggakan melalui ajang Hackathon DKST ITB 2025, sebuah kompetisi inovasi digital yang menantang peserta merancang solusi teknologi end-to-end dalam waktu yang sangat terbatas.
