Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id<\/strong>\u00a0Student team from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB once again achieved outstanding success at the BI\u2013OJK Hackathon 2025, a collaborative competition held by Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), focusing on technological innovation in the digital economic and financial sectors. In this competition, the team won an award through their solution UMKM SIAP, a web-based AI-Powered Smart Export Consultant designed to support Indonesian MSMEs in entering global markets by simplifying the export preparation process. The solution provides features such as export document preparation and validation, market intelligence, and B2B automatching to enhance MSME participation in international trade. .<\/em> . .<\/em>, as well as .<\/em> .<\/p>\n

The participants explained that their motivation for joining the competition was not only personal development but also a form of concrete contribution to society through research and technology-driven innovation. According to Indonesia.go.id (2024), Indonesia has 65.5 million MSMEs, yet only around 15.7% manage to penetrate export markets. This is significant considering MSMEs contribute 61% to the national GDP and employ more than 97% of the workforce. The gap becomes even more apparent when compared to the government\u2019s target of increasing MSME exports to 9.63% by 2025 and 21.57% by 2029. This challenge became the driving force for the team to create a solution that streamlines the export process and expands market access for MSME players.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The core team behind UMKM SIAP consists of Marvel Subekti (Product Manager and Product Designer), Kinanti Wening Asih (Product Manager and Product Designer), Timothy Subekti (Software Engineer), and Muhammad Fadhil Amri (AI Engineer). Throughout the competition, they received support from various mentors, including technical mentors, business mentors, and group mentors.<\/p>\n

Proses kompetisi berlangsung dalam beberapa tahap, dimulai dari Submission 1<\/em> The competition was carried out in several stages, beginning with Submission 1 (5 June\u201326 July 2025), followed by the semifinal round (27 July\u201311 August 2025), then the quarantine and final judging sessions on 28\u201329 October 2025. The event concluded with a showcase on 30 October\u20131 November 2025. All early stages were conducted online, while the quarantine, final judging, and showcase sessions were held onsite as part of the Indonesia Digital Economy and Finance Festival (FEKDI) and the Indonesia Fintech Summit and Expo (IFSE) 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC).<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
