The ITB Informatics Study Program (Prodi) in collaboration with the Informatics Student Association (HMIF) held \"Teaching Informatics\". In this event, ITB informatics alumni were invited back to share their knowledge with the ITB community and the public at large. This first-of-its-kind event was open to the public and carried the theme \"Informatics for National Independence.\"<\/p>\n
This event will feature two speakers. The first speaker will be Ahmad Bambang, President Director of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (Informatics Engineering 1982), who will share his experiences regarding the development and opportunities of the ICT industry and its utilization for the benefit of the nation.<\/p>\n
The second speaker will be Aqsath Rasyid Naradhipa (Informatics Engineering 2006), President Director of No Limit Indonesia. Aqsath will share his experience on how his thesis turned into a startup that now has dozens of employees.<\/p>\n
The event was hosted by Narenda Wicaksono (Informatics Engineering 2002), an ITB Informatics Engineering alumnus who currently serves as Nokia's Developer Experience Lead for Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n
Series of Events for the 30th Anniversary of the Informatics Study Program<\/p>\n
\"This activity is held in the context of the 30th anniversary of the ITB Informatics Study Program,\" said Saiful Akbar (Informatics Engineering 1992) as the committee chairman. Through this activity, it is hoped to reduce the technological gap and provide inspiration to the general public about how informatics science can play a role in national independence.<\/p>\n
\"I hope this activity can be held every month with a different theme,\" said Saiful.<\/p>\n
In addition to this event, there were other activities to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Informatics Study Program. There was also a grand congress of the ITB Informatics Alumni Association held on Saturday (November 3, 2012). There was also an awards ceremony held on the same day.<\/p>\n
