This project, led by researchers Trizzos Gabriel Limbong, Dr. Ing. Chairunnisa, S.T., M.T., and Dr. Ing. Eueung Mulyana, S.T., M.T., aims to democratize 5G research and accelerate innovation by providing a cost-effective and accessible platform for exploring and analyzing 5G network technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Unlocking the Power of 5G through Accessible Innovation<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Recognizing the critical role of 5G in driving technological advancements, the xG Research Center is building a 5G testbed using publicly available components. This approach offers several advantages:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cost-Effectiveness:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Utilizing publicly available tools eliminates the need for expensive proprietary software, making 5G research more accessible to a wider range of institutions and developers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Flexibility and Customization:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Publicly available platforms provide the flexibility to modify and adapt the network model to specific research needs, enabling customized experimentation and analysis.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Community Collaboration:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0These projects foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the 5G community, accelerating innovation and driving the development of new technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Visualizing 5G Performance for Enhanced Understanding<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The research goes beyond simply building a 5G network model by incorporating data visualization techniques to enhance understanding and analysis. Utilizing software like Prometheus, Node Exporter, and Grafana, the researchers can visualize key network parameters, making the testbed more interactive and easier to analyze.
