This initiative aims to explore the transformative potential of 5G to revolutionize how we consume and interact with multimedia, opening doors to new experiences and applications across various industries.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXO93385471 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/CloudAccess.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23763\" src=\"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/CloudAccess.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"814\" height=\"553\" \/><\/a><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">5G: The Key to Unlocking Enhanced Multimedia Experiences<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The research will investigate how 5G&#8217;s advanced capabilities can be harnessed to deliver high-quality, immersive multimedia experiences from the cloud:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">High Bandwidth and Throughput:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a05G&#8217;s significantly higher bandwidth enables seamless streaming of high-resolution video, 360\u00b0 content, and interactive multimedia applications, even with multiple simultaneous users. This opens up possibilities for immersive experiences like virtual concerts, interactive museums, and real-time collaboration on complex multimedia projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ultra-Low Latency:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a05G&#8217;s ultra-low latency ensures smooth, lag-free streaming and interaction with cloud-based multimedia content. This is essential for applications like cloud gaming, augmented reality (AR) overlays on live video, and real-time video editing and collaboration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Edge Computing:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Processing multimedia data closer to the user through 5G edge computing significantly reduces latency and improves responsiveness. This is particularly beneficial for applications that require real-time interaction, such as online gaming, AR\/VR experiences, and interactive multimedia installations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Network Slicing:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a05G network slicing allows for the creation of dedicated virtual networks with guaranteed quality of service (QoS) for multimedia applications.
