The findings reveal that commercial 5G networks in the vicinity of the research center are exceeding expectations, delivering impressive speeds and setting a new benchmark for mobile connectivity in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Exceeding Expectations: A Testament to 5G Capabilities<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The measurement campaign, initiated to establish a baseline understanding of 5G network performance, has yielded remarkable results. The findings demonstrate the significant advancements in mobile technology and highlight the potential of 5G to transform various sectors of the Indonesian economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Key Findings:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Download Speeds Surpass Global Benchmarks:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Commercial 5G networks in the area have demonstrated download speeds that surpass the theoretical values defined in the IMT-2020 Vision by ITU-R (International Telecommunication Union &#8211; Radiocommunication Sector). Furthermore, these speeds exceed the benchmark values reported by Opensignal in June 2022, with a deviation of up to 38.0%. This indicates that Indonesian 5G networks are performing exceptionally well compared to global standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Upload Speeds Set New Records:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0The measured upload speeds on commercial 5G networks also exceeded Opensignal&#8217;s benchmark values, with a deviation of up to 77.3%. This highlights the significant improvement in upload capabilities, which are crucial for applications that require large data transfers, such as video conferencing, cloud storage, and real-time collaboration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">5G Outperforms 4G Networks:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0The measured download and upload speeds on 5G networks significantly surpass the speeds of commercial 4G networks in Indonesia, as reported by Opensignal.
