{"id":18717,"date":"2022-10-26T08:26:12","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T01:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/?p=18717"},"modified":"2022-10-26T08:26:12","modified_gmt":"2022-10-26T01:26:12","slug":"prof-suwarno-named-as-stanford-universitys-world-top-2-scientist-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/en\/prof-suwarno-named-as-stanford-universitys-world-top-2-scientist-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof. Suwarno Named as Stanford University&#8217;s World Top 2% Scientist 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the prestigious universities in America, Stanford University, lists the name of <a href=\"https:\/\/itb.ac.id\/staf\/profil\/suwarno\">Prof. Dr. Suwarno, M.T.<\/a>, as the Top 2% of Best Scientist on The World&#8217;s Top Scientist list for 2022.<\/p>\n<p>STEI congratulates and respects <a href=\"https:\/\/itb.ac.id\/staf\/profil\/suwarno\">Prof. Suwarno<\/a> for this proud achievement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/itb.ac.id\/staf\/profil\/suwarno\">Prof. Dr. Suwarno, M.T.<\/a>, is a Professor of <a href=\"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/en\/research-groups\/power-engineering\/\">Power Engineering Research Group<\/a> who started his career in ITB since the 90s. He completed his undergraduate studies at ITB in 1988, then continued his master&#8217;s studies at ITB and graduated in 1991. After that, he took his doctorate degree at Nagoya University, Japan, in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the research conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/itb.ac.id\/staf\/profil\/suwarno\">Prof. Suwarno<\/a> included the High Voltage Polymer Insulators for the Tropics (2020), the Development of an Intelligent System for Assessing the Condition of Multi-Parameter High Voltage Transformers (2020), and the Multinational Program for Sustainable Energy Entrepreneurship and Development (SEED) (2020).<\/p>\n<p>The World&#8217;s Top Scientist is a list of scientists published annually by Stanford University.
