{"id":1564,"date":"2011-06-30T08:00:11","date_gmt":"2011-06-30T08:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/stei\/?p=1564"},"modified":"2011-11-10T02:01:04","modified_gmt":"2011-11-10T02:01:04","slug":"kompetisi-muatan-roket-indonesia-komurindo-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stei.itb.ac.id\/en\/kompetisi-muatan-roket-indonesia-komurindo-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Kompetisi Muatan Roket Indonesia (Komurindo) 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>YOGYAKARTA &#8212; The 2011 Indonesian Rocket Payload Competition (Komurindo) held at Pandansimo Beach, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, was attended by 40 teams from 36 universities in Indonesia. The competition took place from June 25 to 27, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth Komurindo since 2008 is organized by the Directorate of Research and Community Service, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, in collaboration with Gadjah Mada University, the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), the Bantul Regency Government, and the Air Force Academy. This year's Komurindo is themed \"Attitude Monitoring and Surveillance.\"<\/p>\n<p>This competition is divided into three stages. The first stage is functional testing and payload integration, held on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Meanwhile, the second stage, the payload flight test, took place the following day. Presentation of flight test data results before the judge is the third stage, which will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011. The judges for this competition are Rika Andiarti from LAPAN, Indrawanto from<a href=\"http:\/\/itb.ac.id\" target=\"_blank\"> Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)<\/a>, Wahidin Wahab from the University of Indonesia (UI) and Heru Santosa from UGM.<\/p>\n<p>Komurindo 2011 was officially opened by the Director General of Higher Education, Djoko Santoso. In his speech, Djoko stated that technological development is one of the keys for a country to become a developed and respected nation. Komurindo 2011 is the right event to hone the skills and creativity of Indonesian students to develop rocket payload technology. The Ministry of National Education, through the Directorate General of Higher Education, has always fully supported Komurindo from year to year by providing financial assistance for the development of rocket payloads on campuses. The opening of Komurindo 2011 was also attended by the Regent of Bantul, Suryawidati, the Head of Lapan, Bambang Teja Sukmana, the Vice Chancellor of UGM, Toni Atyanto Dharoko, and the Director of Research and Community Service of Dikti, Suryo Hapsoro.<\/p>\n<p>Competition coordinator Dr Agfianto Eko Putro  stated that aerospace technology, particularly rockets, holds strategic value both in peacetime and for defense purposes. Any country that independently masters rocket technology will be respected by nations around the world. In this competition, the rocket payload that is flown will transmit data on the rocket's behavior during flight. Unlike last year, this year's rocket payload is equipped with a camera.<\/p>\n<p>Pandansimo Beach was crowded with Bantul residents who wanted to see firsthand the rocket payload competition between students. The sunny weather also supported the rocket launches from each team. The Surabaya State Electrical Engineering Polytechnic team again won the 2011 Indonesian Rocket Payload Competition (Komurindo) for students throughout Indonesia. In full, the winning teams at Komurindo 2011 were EEPISky G-02 from Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic (PENS) as the first place winner, Eagle One from Bandung State Polytechnic as the second place winner, and the third place winner, Starpens-01 from PENS. Next, the 1st runner-up was RTS-X2 from the Indonesian Computer University in Bandung, the 2nd runner-up was the Barelang Sky-01 team from the Batam State Polytechnic, and the 3rd runner-up was MDP Ring from STMIK MDP Palembang. The Gama-Sat 1 UGM team won the best design category, Surabaya State University won the favorite category, and <strong>Electron Legacy from ITB won the best creativity category<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this Komurindo, the first place winner received 10 million rupiah in coaching money, while the second and third place winners were entitled to 8 million and 6 million rupiah in coaching money, respectively. The awards to the first-third winners were handed over directly by the Director of Research and Community Service of the Higher Education Directorate, Suryo Hapsoro Tri Utomo.
