The program trained me to break down complex challenges into structured solutions, an ability that later proved valuable in my work in <\/span><b>innovation at a Fortune 500 company<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and in my pursuit of an <\/span><b>MSc in Management of Technology at TU Delft<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, supported by a full merit-based scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During my time at ITB, I was exposed early to research that connected engineering with real-world challenges. Under the guidance of Microelectronics and Organic Semiconductor professors, I worked on developing an organic battery from red seaweed as a renewable energy storage material that also could support a sustainable circular economy for Indonesia\u2019s coastal communities. The project resulted in a research paper that I co-authored at an international materials conference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This experience shaped my perspective that engineering should not only advance technology but also respond to local contexts and societal needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I later applied this mindset in an industry setting at the Bio-Throughput division of L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s Global R&amp;D Centre in Paris, France, where I worked on developing a beauty device that integrates hormonal diagnostics to predict and prevent skin issues. The project drew on biosensor and instrumentation insights from <\/span><b>Lab-on-Chip Laboratory<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an area I had previously explored during my undergraduate thesis with my professors at ITB.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working in both academic and industrial research environments strengthened my ability to design innovation that is technically rigorous, human-centered, and scalable. It also sparked my interest in understanding how technological innovation can be effectively managed and implemented across different contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This journey eventually led me to pursue the MSc in Management of Technology at TU Delft, supported by the Justus &amp; Louise van Effen Scholarship, a prestigious merit-based award for students with strong academic excellence and a drive to advance technology. The program uniquely bridges engineering and management, two perspectives that are essential for translating research into impactful solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looking back, Electrical Engineering at ITB provided more than technical expertise; it cultivated the mindset to use technology to solve meaningful problems and create value for society.
