xG Reserch Center is dedicated to exploring the cutting edge of 5G technology and its potential to transform various industries. Our research focuses on developing practical solutions and advancing the understanding of 5G’s capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Year 1: 5G-to-Business (5G-to-B)<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n

Focus:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0In our first year, we delved into the applications of 5G in business settings (5G-to-B), specifically exploring its potential in smart mining, smart warehousing, and smart campus environments.<\/span><\/p>\n

Use Cases & Objectives:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

  • Drone Inspection:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We investigated how 5G can enable efficient and reliable drone inspections in industrial settings.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 5G-Accessed AR\/VR Content:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We explored the use of 5G to deliver immersive AR\/VR experiences for training and operational purposes.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Smart Environmental Surveillance:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We examined the role of 5G in creating sophisticated environmental monitoring systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Key Outcome:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Our primary objective was to define specific network parameter criteria for successful 5G implementation across these diverse use cases. This research culminated in a set of deliverables outlining the necessary 5G network parameters for optimal performance in each vertical industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Impact:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We believe these findings will be valuable to businesses and organizations looking to leverage 5G technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Year 2: 5G Infrastructure and Beyond (2024)<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n

    Focus:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0This year, our research expands into three key areas:<\/span><\/p>\n

    • 5G Infrastructure Development and Automation:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We are exploring innovative approaches to building and managing 5G infrastructure, including automation techniques for improved efficiency.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Diverse Applications of 5G:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We continue to investigate new and exciting applications of 5G across various sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Standardization of Use Case Development<\/span><\/b>: We are actively engaged in developing and standardizing 5G use cases and applications to facilitate efficient and effective digital transformation across industries. This involves leveraging publicly available tools and platforms, and contributing to their development, to ensure interoperability and accelerate the adoption of 5G solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
