ABB Goes to Campus Roadshow: Variable Speed Drives Training at SEEI ITB

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – From 12 to 14 November 2024, the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) hosted the “ABB Goes to Campus Roadshow” program organized by ABB Motion. The program aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in the field of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) through intensive training.

The training was conducted at the Electrical Energy Conversion Laboratory of SEEI ITB, which is equipped with modern facilities to support learning and practical activities. The program was divided into two main sessions: Classroom Training, covering theoretical understanding of VSD working principles and applications, and Hands-on Practical VSD Setup, where participants had the opportunity to directly practice configuring and setting up VSD equipment. . . .. ..

The participants, consisting of master’s students in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering specialization) at SEEI ITB, enthusiastically took part in the training to deepen their understanding of the latest technologies in automation and control. They also gained insights into the latest innovations from ABB Motion, which is recognized as a global leader in motor drive and control solutions.

This collaboration is expected not only to enrich the academic experience of SEEI ITB students but also to open opportunities for further cooperation between ITB and ABB in the fields of education and research.
